JASON HOFER was busy singing, songwriting, and playing guitar for indie-rock groups International Cold Beat and The Heartwicks until experiencing a life-altering biking accident. He spent the next six-months of his life recovering from a broken neck and shattered dreams.
With all his amps and electric guitars in storage he was forced into a simpler time. Dusting off his acoustic guitar and harmonica, Jason began writing and composing a large collection of original folk/roots and gospel/blues influenced songs which would form the foundations of his soon to be self-titled solo project.
Jason then independently produced and released his debut album ‘SCARS’; 12-songs of brokenness, hope, and healing. He has been performing this material throughout British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
Jason Hofer is now based in Bragg Creek, and is currently producing his sophomore album ‘EXILES’, which is set to be released throughout 2023-2024. He also owns and operates Refinery Record Room, a full-production recording facility deep in the woods of West Bragg.
