“Jason Hofer is the dynamic frontman with an original voice that lingers in your mind. His roaring riffs pull you out of your chair.” - Stephanie DeGraw
— The Music Scene TV
In the midst of a bustling rock n' roll career fronting both International Cold Beat and The Heartwicks; singer-songwriter JASON HOFER experienced a life-altering biking accident. He spent the next six-months of his life recovering from a broken neck and shattered dreams.
During this time, he dusted off his acoustic guitar and harmonica and began writing and composing a large collection of original country/folk and gospel/blues influenced songs which would form the foundations of his solo project and debut album 'SCARS'.
Jason has been performing these songs of brokenness, hope, and healing throughout Western Canada, and is currently based in Southern Alberta, where he is producing his next album at Refinery Record Room in Bragg Creek. The first three singles 'Criminal Tree,' 'Lost,' and ‘Ways’ have been released and the remainder of the album will be released in 2024.
